  • The Wild Flower Key (revised Edition) – How to identify wild plants, trees and shrubs in Britain and Ireland by Francis Rose and Clare O’Reilly.  A useful identification book for beginners and experienced botanists.  Identification guide for plants with flowers or fruits.
  • New Flora of the British Isles by Clive Anthony Stace (Author) and Hilli Thompson (Illustrator) (third edition) – this is a comprehensive guide and more suited to the experienced botanist.
  • The Vegetative Key to the British Flora: A New Approach to Plant Identification by John Poland and Eric Clement.  Identification guide for plants without flowers or fruits.
  • Field Studies Council (FSC) charts on flowering plants and grasses.  Suitable for beginners.
